About The Doctor

Fred received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 1998, and did his residency training in Toronto at St Michael's Hospital. It was here that Fred focused on HIV and inner city medicine.

Since completing his residency in 2000, his focus continues to be HIV primary care; however, he sought further specialization training in addiction medicine and is certified to prescribe methadone. He is currently principal investigator for clinical trials investigating new antiretroviral medications and is involved in several other research trials and educational programs led by colleagues. Fred also leads the endeavour aimed at providing MLMC with an electronic medical record database system.
